Earlier, President Abinader reaffirmed his commitment to the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) by leading the inauguration ceremony of the “Ligia Santos Belliard” Experimental High School and UASD Moca Center.

The building, with 29 classrooms, will benefit some 1,680 students, 460 university students and the remaining 1,220 high school students, since it will operate during the day as a high school and at night to house the students of the state academy of the district and nearby areas.

In his words to those present, the rector of the UASD, Editrudis Beltrán Crisóstomo, highlighted the support of the administration headed by President Abinader to the state university, with the interest of continuing to bring public and quality education to all corners of the country.

“What a joy it is to find myself with His Excellency the President, inaugurating the sixth Experimental High School, the Ligia Santos Belliard-UASD Moca Center,” said the rector, noting that the opening of the campus was possible because the country has a president who listens to the demands of his people.
