With the aim of continuing to provide an optimal service to military retirees, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, ERD. and the President of the JRFPFFAA, Major General Julio César A. Hernández Olivero, ERD. inaugurated a pharmacy and refurbished the offices of the Retirement Department and the Archive Department, in the main building of the Retirement and Pension Funds Board of the Armed Forces (JRFPFFAA).
The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, ERD, said that “these works delivered today are another example of the permanent interest of His Excellency, President Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, to improve the quality of the service offered to our active military and those in the honorable condition of retirement”.
Major General Hernández Olivero thanked all the support provided by Lieutenant General Díaz Morfa, and said that improvements in the infrastructure and services offered to retired members will continue.
The ribbon cutting ceremony opened the inauguration of several works that were inaugurated and refurbished, which immediately become operational, such as the pharmacy, which will provide free prescription medicine delivery services to retired military personnel.
The refurbished areas were the Retirement Department, which is responsible for processing the files and requests of active members to carry out the retirement process in accordance with the law. Likewise, the Archive Department, where the institution’s files and documentation are kept, as well as restrooms and common areas.
Five motorcycles were also delivered for the use of the official missions and to make the institution’s messenger and documentation delivery services more efficient.
