The Ministry of Women, with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), awarded the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP) and the Superintendency of Banks with the DR Equalizing Seal for the Public Sector.
The activity was carried out during a meeting in which four new institutions joined the process of implementation of this initiative, which seeks to incorporate a focus on equality and equity of rights and opportunities between men and women in institutional management.
In this regard, Mayra Jiménez, Minister of Women, indicated that “through this initiative, formalized in 2021 and already seven public institutions have been recognized, generating a direct impact on nearly 30 thousand people, but, above all, generating transformative public policies of national impact in sectors such as political participation, justice, public procurement, social protection, technology and data”.
The Equalizing DR Seal is an accelerator for the closing of gaps, which is part of a group of actions implemented by the Ministry of Women to ensure that all our plans, programs and projects consider the differentiated needs and interests of men and women”.
