Dominican artist Manny Cruz will present his first major concert this Saturday, February 12, which will be held at the Teatro La Fiesta of the Jaragua Hotel, under the name “Dominicano de Corazón”, at 8:00 pm.
The singer and composer will share with his followers all the hits he has harvested in his merengue career, which have earned him seven Soberano Awards, an ASCAP award and five Latin Grammy nominations.
“I decided to call the tour Dominicano de Corazón because, wherever I can get to with each of these concerts, I want to raise the Dominican flag and represent my country with honor. It will be a very special reunion with my public after two and a half years without presenting a concert of my own, and the opening of international doors with my project”, said the artist and singer of “Sabes enamorarme”.
The concert produced by Alberto Zayas will be for the whole family and will admit children from two years and older, accompanied by an adult, covering the best of Manny Cruz’s repertoire, who will be accompanied by a full band directed by Antonio González and a corps de ballet under the direction of choreographer Marcos Taveras.
“I am very happy to be able to dedicate a night to honor merengue, to elevate our Dominican identity, and above all, to bring a quality show to all the public that has been supporting my career,” added Cruz.
In addition, the singer promises surprises during the show that he will also present later at the La Scala Theater in Miami on February 19, and then at the Lehman Center in New York.
He is currently working on a very important collaboration, which he will be releasing very soon. He is also working on the agenda of the Dominicano de Corazon tour, and starting the production of his fourth album.
Manny’s repertoire includes hits such as “Santo Domingo”, “Estoy completo”, “No me lo creo”, “Bailando contigo”, “Que rico es el merengue”, among others.
The artist has also been recognized as “Favorite Son of the city of Santo Domingo” by the City Council of the National District, and in mid 2021 he was appointed National Goodwill Ambassador of the Dominican Republic by UNICEF.
It is worth mentioning that the concert “Dominicano de Corazón” will have the Public Health measures to preserve the health of the attendees, will require the presentation of the vaccination card and the measures ordered by the Government.
