Aguají”, the new gastronomic concept of chef Tita, is born in Puerto Plata

The Dominican haute cuisine restaurant inspired by the Taino culinary culture, is located at The Ocean Club, a Luxury Collection Resort Costa Norte.

Aguají by Chef Tita is a new gastronomic concept of haute cuisine, inspired by the diverse culture of the indigenous population in the country, which opened its facilities at The Ocean Club to produce a culinary resurgence in this tourist area of the Dominican Republic.

Aguají is a culinary paradise that pays homage to the rich Dominican heritage, infusing a contemporary touch, where with each dish, Chef Tita shows her expertise using only the finest ingredients, resulting in a culinary experience that tantalizes the senses and transports you to the vibrant flavors of the origins of Dominican cuisine.

During the opening ceremony, Chef Tita, “Global Ambassador of Dominican Cuisine”, delighted diners with a dinner featuring a 5-course tasting menu that pairs beautifully with fresh ingredients and native products highlighting the local Taino heritage while supporting the Tablón de Sosúa Fishermen’s Association.

Magnificent structure and layout

With its imposing structure, Aguají promises its visitors a luxurious Dominican gastronomic experience in a fashionable atmosphere, to enjoy, in addition, a wine pairing and signature cocktails, delighted with a beautiful sunset in a totally cozy place.

In every detail, its exquisite structure enchants, through a refined decoration that highlights the luxurious textures of fine materials. The floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the natural color palette of the restaurant with a mural as a centerpiece in homage to the indigenous culture.

It also has a total capacity and distribution of 80 people, inside 45 people seated, in the uncovered terrace 35 seated and a large terrace to enjoy an aperitif or dinner outdoors.

How Aguajì by Chef Tita came about

With a name that screams “sea” and “Caribbean”, this new project represents the essence of the island and its unparalleled flavor, above all it reflects Chef Tita’s mission to represent the best flavors and give new life to the ancestral heritage presented as an offering to the gods of gastronomy that Chef Tita honors with each dish.

The image of Aguají has been built from an abstraction of a Taino container, uniting the ancestral with the modernity of the place, creating a combination as tasty as each dish created by Chef Tita.
