Authorities in the Dominican Republic are working on a new tourism segment, related to health tourism.
Thus, the Dominican president, Luis Abinader, has reported the creation of mechanisms to promote this type of tourism, which is related to the field of health and wellness, booming after the pandemic.
Through a decree approved by the Presidency of the country, an inter-institutional collaboration between the Ministries of Public Health and Tourism has been established.
It is thus established that the two ministries are obliged to prepare quarterly reports on the progress of the projects.
