Minister of Health presents PLANDES 2030 in Peravia province

The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Daniel Rivera, presented with great success the National Strategic Health Plan (PLANDES 2030) to the society of the province of Peravia, where he explained the main programs to be presented with a view to the First Level of Primary Health Care.

Rivera expressed President Luis Abinader’s interest in health as his first pillar, focusing on this objective “Primary Care, because health will continue to change”.

He said that the Technical Commissions covered Social Inclusion, Governance, Environment, Risks and Economy. They developed work tables and field surveys, focused on the reality of each area, to identify situations presented in PLANDES 2030.

Daniel Rivera, president of the Health Cabinet, emphasized that the Health Vision 2030 requires a healthy nation with full exercise of the right to health, driven by social participation, environmental protection and humanized, affordable and quality services for the entire population.

He recognized all the efforts of the Provincial Health Directorates (DPS) and Area Directorates (DAS) in facing tropical and seasonal diseases in the country, managing to attack situations such as cholera outbreaks, dengue, zika, the violinist spider, syncytial viruses and, above all, the effective work with the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the end of his remarks, Daniel Rivera guaranteed that President Luis Abinader and Vice President Raquel Peña are committed to the execution of the 35 Structural Projects of PLANDES 2030, as a solution to the implementation of the First Level for a real change in health.

The event was attended by the provincial governor, Ángela Yadira Báez, who thanked the presentation of PLANDES 2030; the provincial senator, Milciades Franjul, and the vice minister, Miguel Rodríguez Viñas, who introduced the objectives and strategies of PLANDES 2030.

Also present were the provincial director of Health, Dr. Adis Sánchez, who welcomed all those present; Robinson Santos, director of the MSP Cabinet; Dr. Reynaldo Peguero, advisor to the ministry; Gina Estrella, director of Risk Management; the manager of the Peravia Health Area, Dr. Danilo Montero and provincial directors of the Southern Region, among other authorities and personalities.
