Government inaugurates Polytechnic Evangelina Santos de Bergés

President Luis Abinader inaugurated the Evangelina Santos de Bergés Polytechnic in Ciudad Juan Bosch, Santo Domingo East, with an investment of more than DR 123 million, which includes 24 classrooms and will benefit 800 students.

The Vice Minister of Supervision and Quality Control of the Ministry of Education, Oscar Amargós, affirmed that the inauguration of this polytechnic is part of the educational policies that the government of President Abinader is promoting and based on this, the phases are being created to make the quantitative leap that we all expect in relation to the educational system.

The facilities have areas for administration, orientation, counseling, library, science laboratory, storage, two special classrooms, dining room, cistern, civic area and others.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Senator Antonio Taveras; Governor Julia Drullard; the Mayor of West Santo Domingo, José Andújar; the Minister of Women’s Affairs, Mayra Jiménez; the Vice-Minister of Investment Projects, Camel Curi; the Director of CAID, Henry Rosa Polanco; the Mayor of East Santo Domingo, Manuel Jiménez, and Deacon Pedro Mateo Sepúlveda.
