Barceló Hotel Group was recognized as the World’s Leading Hotel Management Company 2023 at the latest edition of the World Travel Awards, considered the Oscars of tourism, at a gala event held on December 1 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), attended by the country’s main authorities and representatives of the world’s leading institutions and companies in the tourism sector.
The World Travel Awards, which celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2023, annually recognize excellence in tourism and hospitality in more than a hundred categories.
The award is in addition to the recognitions received at the World Travel Awards 2023 by five of the hotel chain’s establishments in Spain: Royal Hideaway Corales Resort (Spain’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2023), Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort (Spain’s Leading Sports Resort 2023), Barceló Fuerteventura Beach Resort (Spain’s Leading Beach Resort 2023), Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento (Spain’s Leading Conference Hotel 2023) and Barceló Isla Canela (Spain’s Leading All-Inclusive Resort 2023).
These are not the only awards received in 2023 by Barceló Hotel Group, which last June was included in the top 10 of the world’s strongest hotel brands in the annual report by the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance.
In addition, Barceló Hotel Group ranked 27th in the ranking of the most valuable hotel brands in the same report, 17 places higher than in 2022, moving from AA- to the highest classification, AAA.
