Samuel Pereyra, administrator of Banco de Reservas, expressed that the bet of a new hotel chain for the destination of Puerto Plata, after signing an agreement with the RD to start operations in Punta Bergantín, will relaunch tourism in the northern zone.
“The government of President Luis Abinader is making an effort to relaunch tourism there in Puerto Plata, which adds a fourth hotel chain participating in Punta Bergantín,” he said.
He detailed that “the hotel chain Karisma Hotels & Resorts, which is a recognized collection of luxury hotels that owns and manages a portfolio of properties in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe signed an agreement of understanding with the Punta Bergantin Trust, to develop a project of 300 rooms and a water park, with an investment of US$ 209 million”, according to Nuevo Diario.
Its brands include Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, Margaritaville Island Reserve, part of Island Reserve Inclusive Collection by Karisma and Azul Beach Resorts by Karisma.
