The Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda in Punta Cana reopens its doors after renovations

On December 1, Grupo Piñero celebrated the reopening of Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda, located in Punta Cana, marking a milestone in its continued commitment to excellence and innovation in the Dominican Republic’s hotel industry.

With an investment of more than 30 million euros, the hotel chain with the largest number of rooms owned in the country, carried out a comprehensive renovation that has raised the standard of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, highlighting the renovation of its 570 rooms and common areas, in addition to the incorporation of new categories such as the Junior Suite Deluxe Swim Up, new culinary proposals, a sports bar, as well as special amenities that respond to new trends in the tourism sector.

With the new offer, guests will enjoy improved facilities with a practical and contemporary architecture, reflecting the tropical environment and including two new culinary experiences, unique in the hotel chain’s portfolio: Taino Restaurant and Mongolian Restaurant. Added to this offering is a more elegant theater and a new kids’ club right next to the Water Park, so that the whole family can enjoy a complete experience.

The jewel of the transformation is the addition of “Alma Taino,” a concept that immerses visitors in the rich culture through architecture, experiences and cuisine. The unique approach is reflected in the hotel’s seven restaurants, each representing a different themed experience: main buffet with international cuisine, Taino, Indian, Brazilian, Mongolian and the snack at the beach restaurant. In addition, hotel guests will have access to more than 26 restaurants of different specialties, 34 bars and the 9 swimming pools of the rest of the hotels of the Bávaro Complex, thus guaranteeing a complete experience.

Therefore, Genaro Benitez, country manager in the Dominican Republic for Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, expressed his enthusiasm for the modernization and comfort offered to guests, underlining the deeper connection between the hotel’s concept and its surroundings.

“The rebirth of the Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda hotel, now under the Alma Taino concept, not only redefines our facilities, but also seeks to weave an experience where culture, essence and experiences intertwine. Our staff, a key part of the company, embarks on the mission of providing each family with a unique and memorable experience,” he said.

He added that one of the main purposes of Grupo Piñero’s hotel chain is that guests can perceive in each of the hotels the essence and roots of the destinations where they are located, with a view to highlighting the culture and richness of each place.
