The Dominican group Los Kompa has collaborated with popular singer-songwriter Wason Brazobán to interpret regional Mexican music in their own style in the single “La gente si jode”.
Although this song was written by Wason and has already been popularized as a ballad, Los Kompa wanted to put their own stamp on it with arrangements by Argenys Pimentel “El potrillo”, leader of the band. The voices are interpreted by Argenys, Efraín Castillo “Kalhua” and Wason.
“This is our first featuring and doing it with an artist like Wason, who does not usually collaborate, makes us very happy and proud that he liked the project and has entered our world,” said Argenys Pimentel in a press release.
“La gente si jode” has a video that was premiered this Monday along with the song, and was produced by her manager Mily Paredes, under the direction of Imperio Nano.
With barely a year in the music industry, Los Kompa are working on the creation of their first album, which will include several collaborations, including that of Wason, which will be revealed gradually.
In addition, they are finalizing the details for their upcoming tour in the United States.
On the other hand, on January 31 they will be opening for Sergio Vargas at Jet Set.
