Abinader inaugurates Villa Cerro baseball field

President Luis Abinader inaugurated the Villa Cerro baseball field, which had an investment of about DR 29 million.

This play was built by the Presidential Commission for the Support of Provincial Development in the Villa Progreso 2 sector of Villa Cerro.

Angel de la Cruz, president of the Commission, indicated that the place where the play is located used to be a garbage dump and that it has 26 neighborhoods surrounding it.

De la Cruz said that this play was a claim of more than 27 years.

He affirmed that President Abinader is connected with the citizens and has instilled that public positions are to serve.

Present

The President was accompanied by José Ignacio Paliza, Administrative Minister of the Presidency; Ángel de la Cruz, director of the Presidential Commission for Provincial Development; Martina Pepén, Governor; Carlos Bonilla, Minister of Housing; and Virgilio Sedano, Senator.

Also present were Rafael Barón (Cholitín), mayor; Francisco Villegas and Francisco Solimán, deputies; Rafael Uribe, president of the Basketball Association; Karina Aristy, president of the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR), as well as club directors and local authorities.
