Details of the Master Of The Ocean 2024 in Cabarete are released

Organizers of the Master Of The Ocean announced its nineteenth edition to be held February 22-26, 2024, at Playa Encuentro, located between Sosua and Cabarete.

Marcus Bohm and Patricia Hiraldo, said the competition is unique in its kind for attracting professionals in five disciplines: Surfing, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Stand Up Paddle and Wingfoil. Participants can compete as an Overall in the 5 disciplines or as part of a Team of 5 riders, each specializing in one sport.

In an effort to promote economic development through tourism and environmental awareness, the competition expects to bring together more than 70 top athletes from 12 countries.

They indicated that the Master Of The Ocean is not only an extreme water sports festival, but also an initiative that has been established for 20 years as a propellant of the area’s progress.

“The creation of high quality action content and the dissemination of images of our tropical beaches and warm people, carry the message of the sports and adventure destination par excellence that is Cabarete; this is a significant contribution to our country and its economy, based on tourism,” said Hiraldo.

“We have established a strategic agreement with DIGO Hispanic Media, the premium Hispanic audience network that encompasses more than 55 Spanish-language media outlets in Spain and Latin America with a presence in their local markets and the United States. This reach translates into a connection with more than 30 million Hispanics in the U.S. and more than 500 million users worldwide. DIGO Hispanic Media will actively participate in our advertising campaign for the event, disseminating content and promoting ads through its various channels, an endorsement that will strengthen the visibility and impact of our event,” he said.
