The Tigres del Licey, two-time national champions and reigning Caribbean champions, announced the personnel that will be representing the team’s colors and the DR at the Miami 2024 Caribbean Series to be held from February 1 to 9 at Loandepot Park.
The champion manager, Gilbert Gómez, will have in his pitching staff Jonathan Aro, Fernando Abad, Jairo Asencio, Lisalverto Bonilla, Neftalí Féliz, Brooks Hall, Williams Jerez, Jorge Martínez, Jean Carlos Mejía, Andy Otero, Pedro Payano, Wander Suero, César Valdez and Raúl Valdés.
The blue team will have Michael De La Cruz, Jorge Alfaro and Webster Rivas at catcher.
The infield will be guarded by Sergio Alcántara, Vidal Bruján, Robinson Canó, Kelvin Gutiérrez, Ramón Hernández, Dawel Lugo and Gustavo Núñez.
The outfield will be covered by Luis Barrera, Emilio Bonifacio, Yadiel Hernández and Junior Lake.
Licey, arrives in Miami as defending champion of the title obtained last February in Caracas, Venezuela and obtained the right to represent the country by defeating the Estrellas Orientales with a 3-2 score in the seventh game of the Final Series 2024, in a game held at the Tetelo Vargas stadium in the city of San Pedro de Macorís.
