MLB: Dominican Prospects Causing Great Expectations for 2022

It is well known that the Dominican Republic is one of the top exporters of players to Major League Baseball and that many of these have ended up being historic in the circuit. As every year, young prospects cause great expectations to see them debut and these are the ones that correspond to the 2022 MLB Season.

The specialized baseball site FanSided made public a list of the best Dominican baseball players who are causing great expectations within their organizations for their upcoming debuts and here we share them with you.

Marco Luciano
The 19-year-old has excelled in the San Francisco Giants organization and according to Pipeline’s rankings is the fifth best prospect in the MLB and is currently averaging .263 in MiLB.

Vidal Bruján
The Querqueyano is currently with the Tampa Bay Rays, where the now rookie sensation Wander Franco left, and could follow in his footsteps as he is also the second best prospect in the MLB.

Edward Cabrera
The only pitching prospect on this list and who stands out in the Miami Marlins’ branches for the types of pitches he has in his arsenal, which reach an average of between 92 and 97 miles per hour (mph).
