Collado: This year the DR will break record in tourist arrivals from the U.S.

Tourism Minister David Collado held his first roadshows of the year in the United States in an effort to attract more tourists to the Dominican Republic.

In the presence of President Luis Abinader and some 300 tour operators and travel agents, Collado showed in this city in the state of Florida the beauty, charm and diversity of the Dominican tourism offer.

“Thanks to President Luis Abinader for being with us here showing you the best tourism proposal in the entire Caribbean region and reminding you that the Dominican Republic, without a doubt, is in fashion, because our country has it all,” Collado told hotel businessmen, travel agents and tour operators.

He emphasized the importance of the United States for the Dominican Republic, as it is the country’s main source of tourists.

After his participation in Miami with President Abinader, the travel agents and tour operators who participated in the roadshow showed their interest in continuing to contribute so that more tourists continue to choose the Dominican Republic as their favorite vacation destination.

In addition to his presentation in Miami, Collado did the same in the city of Orlando, where he also met with 250 travel agents and tour operators.

“We started here in Orlando our first presentation of the year in the United States, convinced that more American tourists will continue to choose our country as their favorite vacation destination,” he said.

Collado restarted his promotional presentations in the North American market weeks after having achieved the Dominican Republic’s most successful participation in the FITUR tourism fair, which was held January 18-22 in Madrid, Spain.
