Tourism Minister David Collado confirmed that the destinations to be promoted at the Madrid Tourism Fair (Fitur 2024), to be held from January 24 to 28 at the Ifema-Madrid fairgrounds, are Miches, Punta Bergantín and Pedernales.
“This year at Fitur 2024 DR will shine again! We will be presenting Miches “Rumbo a una realidad”, Punta Bergantín and Pedernales project, to continue positioning ourselves as the best destination in the region and being a reference for tourism in the world”, Collado posted on X.
Tourism in the DR has grown, strengthened and focused on developing new tourist destinations to attract more tourists.
In the case of Puerto Plata, it will be promoted as a renewed tourist destination through Punta Bergantín, a mega-project that in its first stage of construction contemplates 700 hotel rooms.
Miches, meanwhile, will be projected as the growth of the East with hotel developments dedicated to luxury tourism.
Pedernales, on the other hand, contemplates the development of tourism in the southern region of the country with the construction of a cruise port in Cabo Rojo, the creation of an airport and, of course, the construction of the first hotels of renowned brands in the area.
With all this, the DR will go to Fitur 2024 with the perfect triad in promotion for the consolidation of Dominican tourism.
