Mitur organizes Road Show to boost Swiss tourist arrivals

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, held a Road Show in Switzerland before more than 150 travel operators in search of increasing the arrival of tourists from the referred country to the RD, as he reported that last year 2023 around 42,514 Swiss tourists visited the island.

Road Show Suiza“Every Swiss visitor is part of our tourism success story. We celebrate the 42,514 Swiss tourists who visited us in 2023 and we augur the growth of that figure for this year 2024,” Collado emphasized.

He indicated that Switzerland ranks as the seventh largest issuer of tourists to “our Caribbean paradise.”

“Working hand in hand with Swiss travel agents we show the best of the RD and allow us to strengthen our ties with those actually responsible for sending tourists to our country,” the minister added on his social networks.

He also said that Swiss European tourists represent 4% for the DR, so the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) continues to strengthen ties for the tourism growth of the RD.
