President Jair Bolsonaro promulgates the Agreement between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Dominican Republic on Tourist and Business Visa Exemptions
Brasilia – Brazil

The Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mrs. Patricia Villegas de Jorge informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), that by means of Presidential Decree N°10. 796 entered into force the visa exemption agreement for nationals of both countries holding valid common or ordinary passports, to enter, leave, transit and stay, for tourism or business purposes, for a period of up to 60 (sixty) days, renewable for the same period, so that the total period of stay does not exceed 120 (one hundred and twenty) days in each period of 12 (twelve) months, counted from the first entry to the territory of both countries.

The aforementioned agreement, signed in Brasilia since May 14, 2018, had to go through all the requirements set forth by both countries in order to enter into force and culminated during yesterday, September 16 with its promulgation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic has initiated the notification process of said agreement to the corresponding instances of the country.
