Arajet announced that tickets for its new route from Santiago de Chile to Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) are available on sale until July 23, starting at US$207.
Low cost airline Arajet announced the start of airline ticket sales for its new route between Santiago de Chile and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which will begin operating at the end of October.
Tickets for travel between Santiago (SCL) and Santo Domingo (SDQ) are available on promotion until July 23, with prices starting at US$207 each way including taxes.
According to the company, this new route will start operating on October 29, with trips on three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays). It also announced that there will be connections to other destinations in the continent, such as Mexico City, Cancun, El Salvador, Guatemala and Canada.
“Arajet continues on a steady path of growth and continental expansion, and today we can proudly say that Chileans have the first direct flight between Santiago and Santo Domingo, which will only benefit both countries by strengthening trade and tourism,” said Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of Arajet.
The airline offers three different fares. The first is Smart, which includes a personal item (40x25x20cm, maximum 6 kilos, also known as “carry-on bag”), a random seat and online check-in. It is followed by Comfort, which includes one personal item (40x25x20cm – 6 kg), hold baggage with airport check-in 20 kg (44 lbs), online check-in and a selected seat (rows 16 to 24 and 25 to 32).
Finally, there is the Extra fare, through which the passenger can obtain one personal item (40x25x20cm – 6 kg), carry-on baggage (56x46x25cm – 12 kg), checked baggage with airport check-in 20 kg (44 lbs), selected seat (rows 3 to 32), online check-in and priority access and flight change.
Arajet operates direct flights to 18 destinations in 14 countries. Its idea is to transform the Dominican Republic into the continent’s new low-fare destination, with 78 connections and a new fleet of environmentally friendly Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which reduce noise pollution by up to 40%.
It is important to mention that travel on the new Santo Domingo (SDQ) – Santiago de Chile (SCL) route is available on promotion only on Arajet’s website.
