Direct flights to Samaná will be operated every Thursday until September 14 of this year.
Soltour has inaugurated with “success” the first flight between Madrid and the peninsula of Samaná (Dominican Republic) on July 6, according to a press release.
Specifically, direct flights to Samaná will be operated every Thursday until September 14 of this year, departing from the Adolfo Suárez airport, Madrid-Barajas with destination El Catey Presidente Juan Bosch International Airport.
Flights depart at 4:50 pm and arrive at Samaná at 7:25 pm (local time) and will be operated by an A330 aircraft.
The inaugural flight was fully booked with 338 seats, some of them occupied by journalists from the main national, lifestyle and travel media from Spain and Portugal, as well as influencers.
Upon arrival, the flight was enlivened with a performance of local music by the Ballet Folklorico del Ministerio de Turismo Dominicano (Folkloric Ballet of the Dominican Ministry of Tourism). Also, a cake with the flag of both countries was distributed among the first visitors arriving on this inaugural flight of Soltour.
Samaná, which is located in the northeast of the Dominican Republic “is a destination with beaches linked to a varied gastronomy and culture and is characterized by the great natural wealth that floods the entire peninsula,” according to the company.
During their stay in Samaná, travelers will be able to stay in 4 and 5-star hotels, including two Bahia Principe hotels and another of the Viva Hotels chain, all of them on an all-inclusive basis.
For the Technical Director of Soltour, Juan Llarenas, “the operation to Samaná and the effort year after year of its relationship with the Dominican government, reaffirms its commitment to this paradisiacal Caribbean destination”.
