Saturation at Dominican Republic airports: recommended to arrive three hours in advance

The company managing some of the most important airport facilities in the Dominican Republic, Aerodom (Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI), has warned passengers to arrive at the terminals three hours in advance. This is due to the high traffic of travelers expected in the country during the month of December.

It should be recalled that Aerodom manages the airports of Las Americas and La Isabela (Santo Domingo), Puerto Plata and Samana, all of them important tourist destinations in the Caribbean country.Aerodom

According to Aerodom’s Director of Communications, Luis José López, Aerodom expects more than 600,000 passengers to travel through Las Américas International Airport alone this December.

Likewise, Lopez has indicated in statements to Despierta con CDN that last week representatives of Aerodom held a meeting with the Tourism Cabinet with the objective of specifying all the measures “to ensure that December is a successful month and that no incidents of any kind are to be regretted”. For its part, the government headed by Luis Abinader has already committed to reinforce airport personnel during the Christmas holidays.
