Word2fly requests JAC to operate new Prague-Punta Cana link

The plenary session of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), heard requests for new operations that will attract passengers to Dominican soil from non-traditional destinations such as the Czech Republic, this was announced by José Ernesto Marte Piantini, president of the JAC.

At the 17th ordinary session of the plenary, Marte Piantini said that as a result of the air transport agreement signed between the Dominican Republic and the Czech Republic in June of this year 2023, the foreign operator World2Fly requested a Special Permit to operate flights on the Prague/Punta Cana/Prague route as of November 1st of this year.

He also informed the members of the plenary that the Prague/Punta Cana/Prague route is not included in any Operating Permit or Economic Authorization Certificate.

He also indicated that “the actions to expand commercial aviation in the country are a reality, especially towards strategic European markets”.
