Air Europa to link Madrid with Samaná for the first time

Air Europa will operate for the first time from Madrid to Professor Juan Bosch International Airport, located in El Catey, Samaná.

The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) informed that operations will be carried out once a week (Saturday) from June 26 to September 4, 2021 in a Boing787 aircraft, with capacity for 6,600 seats.

The JAC took cognizance of the request for the Economic Authorization Certificate (CAE) of Air Rotor Service to offer non-scheduled domestic and international passenger air transportation services from La Isabela International Airport, Dr. Joaquin Balaguer (El Higüero).

The national air operator will be performing domestic flights throughout the country between public and private heliports and will be authorized to fly regularly, with passenger services, in an Airbus Helicopters aircraft, model AS350 BA with capacity for 4 passengers.

The president of the JAC, José E. Marte Piantini, emphasized that the new air operations will strengthen the sector and increase passenger and cargo traffic to the country.

Air Europa flies from Madrid to Santo Domingo, to Punta Cana and from Barcelona to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana. In addition, from Bilbao to Santo Domingo and from Malaga to Punta Cana.
