“‘Saint X’, the new Hulu series filmed in the DR

The series was filmed in an exclusive hotel on the island.

The streaming platform Hulu premiered last April 26 “Saint X”. The production is a new drama series centered on a murder and a luxury hotel, much like HBO’s hit “The White Lotus”.

“Saint X”, which has a total of five episodes and its story is based on the book of the same name by Alexis Schaitkin, also airs in Latin America on Star +.

As reported by El Diario de Nueva York, although the production used several locations to develop the story, the main filming set was the Selectum Hacienda Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, which in fiction is called Indigo Bay Resort, located on the fictional and exclusive Caribbean island of Saint X. The hotel is located on one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean.

The hotel is located in one of the most exclusive areas of the island and is not too large, as it is a boutique property with only nine rooms. Its windows and common areas overlook Macao Beach and the tropical forests.

About the series

Developed by Leila Gerstein (“The OC,” “Gossip Girl,” “Hart of Dixie” and “The Handmaid’s Tale”), “Saint X” is a Hulu series based on the novel of the same name by Alexis Schaitkin and chronicles how one woman’s mysterious death creates a traumatic ripple effect that ultimately pushes her surviving sister on a dangerous search for the truth.

“‘Saint X,’ told across multiple timelines, explores and changes the genre of missing girls as it explores how the mysterious death of a young woman during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pushes her surviving sister into a dangerous search for the truth.”
