The Miss Universe celebration is just around the corner, do you know who will compete for the Dominican Republic?

The 69th edition of the Miss Universe pageant arrives in South Florida in a few weeks and El Nuevo Herald spoke with Miss Dominican Republic, Kimberly Jimenez, a girl who is proud of all the goodness her country has to offer to visitors.

Kimberly is 23 years old and was born in Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother, whom she considers her role model.

When asked her opinion about the idea of doing the contest in such complicated times, the young woman says that she sees it as an opportunity to show the world that beyond the difficult situations that are being seen there is always a way to do things in the best possible way.

And although perhaps this is not the right time to carry out the competition, she asserts that the Miss Universe organization has always taken care to keep the contestants safe, thinking first of their health.

In her case, she affirms that beauty pageants have allowed her to show her essence regardless of what people think.
