Puntacana Resort & Club celebrates Easter Week 2023 with cultural and sports activities

The owners and visitors of Puntacana Resort & Club experienced an Easter Week 2023 full of activities and unique experiences. It included cultural and sporting events for the whole family to enjoy.

The week began with the celebration of the traditional Easter Concert, a free event for the entire community, sponsored by the Lapp family with the support of Grupo Puntacana, featuring the Molina Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro José Antonio Molina, at the La Cana Golf & Beach Club. In this eleventh edition, the big surprise of the night was the participation of the Children and Youth Symphony Orchestra of Punta Cana, composed of young talents from the community of Veron and Punta Cana, who directed by Omar Suniaga, for the first time shared the stage with the great Molina Philharmonic.

The Molina Philharmonic was accompanied by the voices of the Koribe Choir and the mezzo-soprano Glenmer B. Perez, who interpreted in an emotional and masterful way classic songs and some emblematic of Dominican music, such as: “Caña Brava”, “Ay, Mujer”, “Papá Bocó” and “Ella”, among others.

On Friday and Saturday, tennis lovers participated in the “Spring Break Social Mix Doubles” tournament at the Oscar de la Renta Tennis Center, where they played in pairs of families and friends for a morning full of sports and laughter.

On Saturday afternoon, polo fans gathered at the 5th edition of the Save the Children National Polo Tournament – Gulf Cup at the Puntacana Polo Club, dedicated to polo players Federico Ramos, Nicolás Seliman, Víctor (Vitin) Hernández, Tony Delgado and Alejandro Tirado, for their careers in the sport. The event raised more than 6 million pesos to promote literacy programs that contribute to the development of children in the Dominican Republic.

The event included the fashion show “La Estilista Runaway Experience”, organized by renowned fashion stylist Deborah Karter. The fashion show featured the participation of the prestigious brands Santa Paloma, Maylé Vásquez, Casa Maraca, INDÓ MITA and Call Me Lola. The designs were complemented with jewelry by Dominican designer Mónica Varela and footwear by CASTAÑER espadrilles, achieving an impeccable resort chic style.

The Save the Children National Polo Tournament – Gulf Cup was celebrated as part of a family polo day, attended by owners, residents, guests, guests and allies of the Save the Children Foundation and Puntacana Resort & Club, who enjoyed an exhibition of Higuey horses, musical entertainment and the 3rd edition of the Eco Bazaar, where artisans from the eastern zone participated and donated part of their earnings to the Puntacana Group Foundation.
