The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will attend this Wednesday, August 3, the launching of the campaign “Tourism in every corner”, which is scheduled for 6:00 pm at the El Embajador hotel in Santo Domingo.
The activity, which is to present the strategy for the promotion and encouragement of domestic tourism in the country, will also be attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado,
The recent and accumulated recovery data presented by the sector, and end
orsed by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), is due to the fact that the tourism industry is one of the fundamental axes promoted by the Government of President Abinader.
It is recalled that the most recent data, as of July 2022, 735,064 non-resident visitors have arrived in the DR, making it the month of highest tourist arrivals.
The projection of the authorities is to close the year with the arrival of more than 7 million tourists.
