Aerodom announces construction of new long-term parking lot

The director of Corporate Communications of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), José López Mena, announced that a new long-term parking lot will be built at the José Francisco Peña Gómez International Airport of the Americas (AILA), as a result of the demand for parking, specifically during high seasons such as Christmas, Easter and other festivities.

“Already in the coming months we will start with a long-term parking, hopefully this situation will not be repeated,” he said.

He explained that “the decision arises from several complaints from passengers who had to pay an amount of 6,000 pesos for less than a week to leave their vehicles in the long term parking enabled in the terminal, due to the demand at this time of the year”, according to the Sol de la Mañana program.

“It is more expensive than a normal parking lot, depending on the time you are going to last, one day 2,500 pesos, 2 days, 3, 500 pesos, but the situation has been normalized since January 1,” he said.
