Air Europa to promote DR tourism in 20 countries and 68 European cities

The Spanish airline Air Europa informed that it will promote the Dominican Republic’s tourism offer in the 20 countries and 68 cities in Europe included in its network.

This is part of an agreement signed by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and Juan José Hidalgo, president of the airline in a meeting attended by Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader.

Francisco (Paco) Pérez, Globalia’s chief executive in the Dominican Republic, explained that Air Europa is also committed to maintain during the 12 months of the agreement 7 weekly flights to Santo Domingo and 3 to Punta Cana, providing a total of 335,000 seats.

It will also publish reports and advertising in its Europa digital magazine and a promotional video on the airline’s in-flight entertainment system, according to a press release.

In addition, it will circulate content and a newsletter to all customers registered in the company’s database, segmented by category, throughout Europe; it will also disseminate information on social networks; publication of posts on the airline’s blog and other media, and support from related influencers approved by the Ministry of Tourism.

Support for tourism
Grupo Globalia, said Mr. Hidalgo, with its Be Live hotel chain and Air Europa has an important presence and has supported the development of Dominican tourism since it began operations in 1987.

“We believe in the country and are proud of our presence and investments and will continue to bet on the development of the Dominican people,” Hidalgo said.

Pérez informed that Air Europa has put at the service of Dominican tourism the most modern airplanes for air transportation.

Air Europa connects the Dominican Republic to its main European markets, which are Spain (22 cities), Italy (16 cities), Germany (4 cities), France and the United Kingdom (3), Switzerland, Sweden and Poland (2), and with Portugal, Denmark, Hungary, Holland, Greece, Romania, Belgium, Malta, Luxembourg and Finland.
