DR and Colombia collaborate against transnational crime

The PGR reported on the meeting, which also discussed actions to tackle cybercrime, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, financial crime and money laundering.

The Dominican Republic and Colombia on Thursday strengthened cooperation ties in the fight against drug trafficking and other transnational crimes during a meeting between Attorney General Miriam German Brito and Colombian Attorney General Francisco Barbosa Delgado.

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) informed in a statement about the meeting, in which actions to confront cybercrime, human trafficking, migrant smuggling, financial crimes and money laundering were also discussed.

Barbosa Delgado said that in this “strategic meeting we analyzed joint operations and results in the fight against a common enemy between the regions, which is transnational organized crime”.
