The company Edesur Dominicana started two electrification projects in the communities of Villa Palomino and San Antonio de Galindo in Azua, which will be electrified for the first time.
When giving the first signal to mark the beginning of the works, the administrator of Edesur, Milton Morrison, indicated that both projects will mark a milestone in the coming months, because these sectors will receive electric energy, which means development and well-being.
“I assure you that we are going to work so that both communities will have an illuminated Christmas this year, because in the government of President Luis Abinader we are working to change the lives of the people”, said Milton Morrison.
After years of using candles and homemade lamps, some 250 families, small merchants and agricultural producers will be positively impacted by Edesur’s work.
The first project will be executed in the Galindo sector, where 72 poles, 6 transformers, 3.1 kilometers of single-phase network line, dozens of lights and 2 kilometers of triplex will be erected.
The second will be in Villa Palomino and will have 147 poles, 5 transformers, 6.3 kilometers of three-phase line and dozens of lights.
The community members, full of happiness, thanked the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader and Edesur Dominicana for fulfilling their promise and for making their dream of having electricity come true.
