Government to invest 200 million pesos in the renovation of the San Pedro de Macorís seawall

The Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, announced that President Luis Abinader promised to invest some 200 million pesos for the renovation of the entire boardwalk of San Pedro de Macoris, including El Faro beach.

The minister also said that the view of the beach from the boardwalk will be recovered and that this will be one of the first to be renovated, thus recovering tourism in the city. Likewise, Collado also said that work is being done on the legal
legal procedures for the recovery of the Macoríx Hotel.

Collado made a tour of the entire Malecon and Duarte St., where he ordered that the legal procedures for the recovery of the Macoríx Hotel be expedited,
where he ordered that the work be expedited.

He was accompanied by a large commission headed by the provincial governor, Aracelis Villanueva, the mayor Raymundo Ortiz, the president of the council of aldermen, Francisco Frías, several aldermen and a work team from the Ministry.

He promised that the work will begin in the next few days and the people that the wait will be worth it.

After the tour, he received a call from President Abinader who said that he has a commitment with San Pedro de Macoris and that the change will continue to be seen.
