Some five thousand vacancies for different areas in hotel and tourism in the area of Bavaro and Punta Cana in the province of La Altagracia are available at the job fair organized by the Ministry of Labor, which starts this Thursday 3 and Friday 4 of this month.
The fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the center of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in Higüey, located at La Altagracia Avenue No. 23, where resumes will be received to fill the first 1,364 vacancies.

The vacancies for which those interested may apply are housekeepers, supervisor, chambermaid, housekeeping officer, porters, supervisor, housekeeping officer, according to a press release from the institution.
In the banquet area the vacancies are for bartender, waiter, chef steward; in the kitchen area: head chef, cooks, tepanyakero, pastry chefs, bakers, kitchen assistants, buffet chefs.

The vacancies in the area of villa rock condominiums are cleaning officer, security agent, cook, steward. In entertainment, entertainers, kids club entertainer, entertainment supervisor, towel boy, pool concierge, djs, instructors are required.
In hydrotherapy there are hydrotherapy valet and revenue assistant. For laundry, laundry assistant. In maintenance, electromechanical technician, room operator, general operator (exterior common areas), serviexpress room operator, among others.
There are also positions for room carpenters, area carpenters, plumbers, treatment plant operators, machine room operators, area sheerockers, shift electricians, cabinetmakers, painters, pool workers, mason’s helpers.
There are also vacancies for cleaning officers, receptionists, room controllers, butlers, bellboys, and public relations (PR) assistants.
In the area of restaurants, there is a need for managers of consumption centers, restaurant managers, waiters, and hostesses.
In addition, sewing assistants, upholsterers, masseurs, hairdressers, lifeguards, security agents, locksmiths, cashiers, drivers, among others, are required.
