José Paliza inaugurates District Palace in Yásica Arriba

Following up on the program of support to the municipalities developed by the Dominican Government for the construction of works of collective interest, the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, headed this Thursday the inauguration of the District Palace of Yásica Arriba.

The work has an investment of more than DR 10 million, which is in addition to the support given to the municipalities throughout the more than three years of President Luis Abinader’s administration.

Paliza said that one of the characteristics that has marked the difference of this government with those of the past, is that now the contributions arrive without colors, because the interest is to change the quality of life of our people.

“This municipal district lives today a very different fate from the past. Today we inaugurate this District Palace, but we have other works, such as the four bridges in the communities of Yaroa Abajo and Gurabito, electrification of communities, in addition to completing the work on the Gregorio Luperón tourist road, which has returned the dynamism of commerce to the area,” he added.

Fabio Marte, director of the District Board of Yásica Arriba, thanked President Abinader for this effort to give this locality a dignified space for its work and attention to the citizens, but emphasized that none of this would be possible without the follow-up work of Minister José Ignacio Paliza and his entire team.

During his visit to the Bride of the Atlantic, the official took the opportunity to tour important works that are in their final phase of construction, such as the Cangrejo bridge over the Camú river, the José Briceño stadium and the Leonel Plácido soccer field.

He was accompanied on the tour by Governor Claritza Rochette; Senator Ginette Bournigal; the administrative and financial vice-minister, Igor Rodríguez Durán; Deputy Emil Durán, as well as the regional director of the MOPC, Basilio González, and Anulfo Pascual, deputy director of Customs, among other personalities.
