POLITUR graduates 99 agents in tourism security

During the graduation, awards were presented to the Minister of Interior and Police, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, the director of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, P.N., the Minister of Tourism, David Collado and General Minoru Matsunaga Matsunaga, P.N., central director of the Tourism Police, POLITUR.

The Central Directorate of the Tourism Police (POLITUR), celebrated the XIII graduation of tourism security agents of the “Ana Valverde” promotion, in which 99 new agents were invested, (77) male and (22) female.

The ceremony was headed by the director of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, P.N. and the director of POLITUR, General Minoru Matsunaga.

The graduates received training in the areas of English, Personal Defense, Vehicle Driving, First Aid, Citizen Service, Service Quality, Tourist Security, Tourist Geography, Intelligence in Tourist Zones, among others.

The central words of the ceremony were given by the director of the School of Tourist Security, Colonel Elias D. Villar Tejeda P.N., who indicated that the institution has focused on providing an integral education, taking into account the highest levels of professional-police training, so that the new agents can be guarantors of the citizen security of all the men and women of the country, especially the tourists who each year choose the Dominican Republic as their main tourist destination.

Colonel Elías D. Villar Tejeda P.N., exhorted the new agents to act according to the police rules and protocols, respecting the integrity of the citizens.

The distinction of honor graduate was received by young Ariel Rodríguez Beltré.

During the graduation, the Minister of Interior and Police, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, the director of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, P.N., the Minister of Tourism, David Collado and General Minoru Matsunaga Matsunaga, P.N., central director of the Tourism Police, POLITUR, were recognized.

The blessing was performed by Reverend Father Francisco Rosenberg, Chaplain of the Central Directorate of the Tourism Police (POLITUR).

The activity took place in the auditorium of the Police Educational Plaza (Former Camp Duarte).
