The Dominican Republic squad returns to the Olympic Games after having participated in the first edition, which was in Barcelona 1992, and will seek to have a historic performance by fighting for a medal.
In order to be a protagonist, the Dominican novena presents a squad that comes from playing in both the Pre-Olympic Tournament in Florida and the one held in Puebla, where they finally got the pass to the summer competition.
The team is coached by Héctor Borg and has extensive experience in the Major Leagues, with players such as Melky Cabrera, José Bautista and Emilio Bonifacio.
