Board of Directors urges journalists and communicators to participate in this edition of the award
The board of directors of the Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) informed that it is working on the preparation of the XIX edition of the Epifanio Lantigua National Tourism Journalism Award 2023; at the same time it urges journalists and communicators to participate in this contest sponsored by Mitur and Banco Popular.
Yenny Polanco Lovera, president of Adompretur stressed that this award is very important “because it allows us to bring to public light the work and effort made by our professionals in tourism journalism, in which they present the attractions of the Dominican Republic, but also denounce the situations that affect our destinations always with the aim of improving our offer”.
He also urged journalists and communicators to compile the works they have published in print, television and digital media “so that when we announce the date of reception they are ready to take them to our office with their one-page profile and two high-resolution photographs”.
Polanco Lovera indicated that the organizing team together with the representatives of the jury is working on the revision and updating of the PEL 2023 bases, which will soon be published with all the information on the web page www.adompretur.com.
“Organizing this award is a great challenge, therefore, we are motivating journalists and communicators to start compiling their works to be delivered to our office, on the dates that we will inform later,” expressed the president of Adompretur.
The Epifanio Lantigua National Tourism Journalism Award 2023, will be awarded in the following categories: written press, television or YouTube report, digital press, television documentary, printed magazines, art and culture; photography, gastronomy, tourism northern region, tourism eastern region and tourism southern region. From the winners of these categories, the jury will choose the grand prize winner.
Entries must be physically delivered to the Adompretur office, located in the Dominican College of Journalists building, on George Washington Avenue, corner Horacio Vicioso, second level, Centro de los Héroes, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
