Abinader reiterates his commitment to primary health care in the DR

President Luis Abinader reiterated this Friday his commitment to improving primary care in the Dominican Republic.

“We have a great commitment to attend to primary care in our country and we are going to continue working. We have also advanced in the total coverage of family health insurance, but we are going to continue advancing in the other challenges we have in terms of pensions, also to improve the quality of service for all Dominicans,” said the president.

Abinader expressed himself in these terms when he received an award given by the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS), during the closing ceremony of the first international diploma course on “Citizens’ Rights Defense in Social Security Matters”.

The Head of State expressed his gratitude for this award: “This is a great honor, but above all it is a great commitment to continue working in favor of social security, where we have advanced, but we can still advance and we must advance much more”.

Abinader emphasized that in the DR the different sectors (union, business and government) are working in favor of the citizens. That is the best way to move forward, putting ourselves in agreement.
