In January Puerto Plata will receive 66 cruise ships

The Regional Directorate of Tourism of Puerto Plata informed that this province will receive in January some 66 cruise ships in the different maritime ports of the locality.

Of the total of 66 cruise ships, 28 are scheduled to arrive at the port of Amber Cove, while the remaining 38 will arrive at the port of Taino Bay. This variety of arrivals promises to offer visitors a rich and diverse experience, highlighting the destination’s unique versatility and charm, it said.

“This impressive flow of visitors reinforces Puerto Plata’s position as one of the most outstanding tourist destinations in the entire Caribbean,” said Atahualpa Paulino, regional tourism manager.

This large number of ship arrivals underscores the continued attractiveness that the province of Puerto Plata has to offer for the major cruise lines, as well as demonstrating the confidence of the industry, the official said.
