The Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic approved the development of a tourist complex that will include 30,000 homes, six hotels, a commercial area, medical centers, a university, offices and business centers.
This is Larimar City & Resort, Clerhp’s flagship project, which represents a step forward in its expansion strategy and opens new opportunities for Grupo Orenes in the international market by managing a casino within the complex. The project belongs to Clerhp, a company from Murcia, Spain, which obtained the license.
The license, valid for five years, has been granted to Inercar SRL, Clerhp’s subsidiary in the DR.
The complex will be developed over an area of 3.5 million square meters and will include residential buildings of up to 18 stories. It will have agreements with international operators such as ArchipiƩlago International and Sonesta International Hotels for the management of their residences and hotels.
In addition, Larimar City & Resort will have an artificial beach, a promenade of more than 3 kilometers, an 18-hole golf course and a country club.
On the residential side, the project will offer amenities such as a hospital, wellness and fitness areas, recreational and sports parks, schools, a university, offices, restaurants and bars, a shopping center, green areas, parking lots and renewable energy systems. The first Larimar units are expected to be delivered in 2025, with an estimated sales impact of EUR 158m by 2026.
