The Villas Doradas will be managed by the W2M hotel company

Hotelier O7, part of Iberostar Group’s W2M, is landing in the Dominican Republic, according to an exclusive report by the digital newspaper Desarrollo, which specializes in hotel investments. This hotel company, the second brand of the group presided by Miguel Fluxá, has reached an agreement with the Spanish chain Bluebay to operate several establishments in the Caribbean and Spain.

In the specific case of the DR, the W2M hotel chain will take over the Villas Doradas hotel in Puerto Plata. W2M, led by Gabriel Subias, integrates airplanes, agencies, tour operators and recently hotels under the O7 brand led by José Antonio Granja, an executive who worked in the past for Iberostar in the Caribbean.

With this, W2M’s hotel chain, O7 Hotels, has taken over the management of nine Bluebay hotels. This operation will allow it to take the international leap and increase its portfolio to 13 establishments.

Thus, its portfolio will comprise six hotels in the Balearic Islands, five in the Canary Islands, one in Riviera Maya (Mexico) and another in Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic).

Villas Doradas has 245 rooms and is located on the beachfront of Playa Dorada.

It is recalled that Bluebay was in talks with Be Live to pave the way for a merger, approaches that came to a standstill.
