Who is Dianabel Gómez?

Dianabel Gómez was born in the province of Santiago Rodríguez. The Dominican presenter is among those arrested in Operation Falcon, an international drug trafficking and money laundering network. However, her name does not appear in the list of some of those arrested in the case of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Gómez is a 27-year-old model who represented her province in the Miss Dominican Republic Beauty pageant and was a model in the program “Aquí se habla español”.

In 2016 she became part of the program “Pégate y gana con El Pachá”, which was broadcast by Color Visión.

By then she was already the girlfriend of sportswriter Franklin Mirabal, with whom she finally married in February 2019 in the so-called “Sports Wedding”, an event that was televised by a dozen channels and also broadcast on social networks, becoming a trend.

The wedding was sponsored by former baseball player Sammy Sosa, presenter Frederick Martínez “El Pachá” and sports entrepreneur Juanchy Sánchez.

Several months later the young woman announced that she was separating, causing another scandal on social networks.

In addition to television, in 2018 she participated in the movie “Pobres millonarios”, directed by Roberto Ángel Salcedo.

“I will work hard to be a positive presenter, hardworking and far from conflicts and controversies. Even when comments (good or bad) can help you a little, in the end they take you away from your goals,” the presenter commented in a statement sent to the media in 2016.

She is the mother of two children (ages 8 and 9), from a relationship prior to Mirabal.

In an interview in the program Más Roberto, she confessed that she sold vehicles through an association dealers “Alex González Motors”.

Operation Falcón is an alleged international drug trafficking and money laundering network that was carried out in several parts of the country.

In order to apprehend some of those involved in this network, the Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) and the Dirección Nacional de Drogas (DNCD) with the support of the DEA carried out more than 80 raids in several provinces.

The others arrested are Rafael Alberto de Jesús, Marisol López Ceballo (Mary); Elva Teresa Polanco, Víctor Elpidio Paulino Herrera, Francisco Linares Pimentel, Adolfo Torres Sanabia, Julio César Jiménez Talavera and José Alejandro de la Cruz Morales.

In addition to the above mentioned, Juan José de la Cruz Morales, also known as Wandy, Wander, W, El Michero, El Hombre or El Don, also, Juan Maldonado Castro (Marcial or El Líder), María Olimpia Tavares Rodríguez (Oli, La Princesa); Lenin Bladimir Torres Bueno and Delfina Asunción Polanco.
