Air Europa to link DR with Africa with stopover in Madrid

Starting in March, Air Europa will offer new options to travelers from the Dominican Republic interested in connecting to destinations in North Africa, as it will increase its flights from Madrid to Morocco in March and to Tunisia in June.

The routes to Marrakech and Tunis will be operational until the end of October and will allow to respond to the high demand that both tourist destinations are registering Air Europa 01since they entered service. Flights to the Moroccan capital began in 2017, while those connecting Madrid to Tunisia did so in 2019. In the latter case, the success of the route last year was reflected in average occupancy levels of over 87%.

To offer this service, Air Europa will use its Boeing 737 fleet. This single-aisle model represents the most efficient way to cover short and medium-haul routes, balancing a high volume of passenger travel with responsible consumption.
Air Europa’s role in North Africa will be further enhanced this year by the recent codeshare agreement reached with Kenya Airways. Thanks to this agreement, the airline’s customers will be able to fly to Nairobi from Madrid on a connecting flight from Amsterdam, expanding its range of destinations on the continent using a single ticket.
