Anex Tour intensifies winter programming to Dominican Republic from Russia and Ukraine

Russian tour operator Anex Tour has confirmed that it will intensify its activity from Russia and Ukraine to the Dominican Republic for the 2021-2022 winter season. The company has announced that it will operate up to 20 weekly flights from both markets with its airline Azur Air. In addition, the operator has added four new Russian regions as origin of flights, aiming to double – compared to 2019 – the number of tourists transported to the Dominican Republic.

As for operations from Russia, to the cities of Moscow, Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg this year Anex Tour will add new frequencies from Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Ufa. The Dominican Republic airport of destination will be La Romana.

It should be recalled that Russia is one of the most important outbound markets for the Dominican Republic. With a total of 217,082 visitors, Russia ranked as the fourth largest issuer in 2019 to the Caribbean country.

As for Ukraine, a total of 29,769 Ukrainians visited the Dominican Republic in 2018. However, this is a market that has made a quantitative leap, since, as of August 2021, the Caribbean country had received a total of 50,998 Ukrainian tourists.
