Arajet informed that they will be making a special flight from the Gregorio Luperon International Airport in Puerto Plata to El Dorado Airport in Bogota as part of the actions to promote connectivity within the framework of the Anato 2024 tourism fair.
Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, indicated that the airline will connect for the first time the City of Puerto Plata with Bogota in Colombia where a delegation headed by officials of the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) will travel in the company of the main entrepreneurs and actors of the Dominican tourism sector, highlighting the presence of the president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores), David Llibre.
“Arajet has the firm commitment to be part of the growth of visitor arrivals to the Dominican Republic and that is why we will be supporting all the necessary initiatives to improve the country’s air connectivity and to boost tourism in the northern part of the country,” he said.
He indicated that the flight will depart on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 am from Santo Domingo with a 45-minute stopover in Puerto Plata and then arrive in Bogota at 10:25 am. The return flight is scheduled for Friday, March 1 at 4:45 pm, arriving in Santo Domingo at 8:25 pm.
It is recalled that Anato is Colombia’s main tourism fair and one of the most important in Latin America, and thanks to the country’s successful participation in this event in 2023, the Arajet routes that now connect Santiago de los Caballeros with Medellin and Bogota were born.
