El domingo 3, Plus Ultra inauguró su servicio directo entre Madrid (MAD) y Samaná (AZS)

Flight PU 403 was operated by an Airbus A330 registered as EC-KOM. The aircraft took off from Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD) at 13:58 local time and landed at El Catey International Airport (AZS) at 16:35.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas operaciones, in 2021 between the Spanish capital and Samaná (AZS) 4,850 passengers were mobilized on 20 airliners.

Flights will be operated on Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 299 seats in two classes (24 Business Class/275 Economy) and promotional fares start at 422 euros each way.
Plus Ultra will be the only airline operator to offer scheduled long-haul passenger services at El Catey International Airport (AZS) and is also the third non-stop connection between Madrid (MAD) and the Dominican Republic.
Last year, the Dominican Republic was the main intercontinental market at Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD). Data from Aena Estadísticas indicate that in 2021 between the Caribbean country and the Spanish capital 593,885 passengers and 8,270 tons of cargo were mobilized on 2,237 airlines, representing a recovery of 90.5%, 99.55% and 80.15% respectively with 2019 levels.
