Turkish Airlines moves forward to open regular flights to Punta Cana

The Dominican ambassador to Turkey, Elvis Alam Lora, met with President Luis Abinader, executives of Turkish Airlines and Frank Elias Rainieri, president & CEO of the Puntacana Group to concretize the possibility of opening regular flights between the two nations.

Turkish Airlines could be flying to the destination of Punta Cana, generating a great activity of both local tourism to Turkey and Turkish tourists to the Dominican Republic.

According to information from the embassy’s website, the meeting marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations between Turkey and the Dominican Republic, reflecting even more the friendship and commercial ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Elvis Alam Lora thanked Acun Ilicali for his efforts in making the dream of having Turkish Airlines flying to the Dominican Republic a reality, which is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality, and its active Dominican representative, Karina Nina, for her enthusiasm and unlimited cooperation.
