This week: Scattered showers in several parts of the country

Scattered showers in several parts of the country. Cool temperatures. Moderate wind from the northeast.

Weather conditions continue to be influenced by a weak trough with little moisture content at different levels of the troposphere.

However, the transport of cloudiness caused by the moderate wind from the northeast will continue to generate increases in cloudiness to produce scattered and passing showers with isolated gusts of wind from the early hours of the morning and during the afternoon mainly in different localities of the regions: north, northeast, Caribbean coast and the Central Cordillera.

Tomorrow, Thursday, the frontal system that will be positioned to the north of the Atlantic will be interacting with the local effects of diurnal and orographic warming, in addition to the northeast wind, both will induce cloud concentrations that will be causing weak and passing showers with gusts of wind, mostly concentrated over different localities of the regions: north, northeast, southeast and Central Cordillera.

On the Atlantic coast, operators of fragile and small boats should navigate with caution from Cabo San Rafael (La Altagracia) to Cabo Samaná (Samaná), due to wind and abnormal swell. On the Caribbean coast, navigate with caution near the coastal perimeter, without venturing offshore, due to wind and abnormal waves.

Temperatures will remain pleasant mainly at night and early morning with forecasted values between 6 °C and 12 °C in mountain areas and some valleys of the interior of the country, such as: Constanza, Jarabacoa, Hondo Valle and Polo, among others, such temperatures could be lower in different areas with higher altitude, such as; Valle Nuevo National Park, José del Carmen Ramírez, also J. besides Armando Bermúdez and the Sierra de Bahoruco.

National District: Scattered clouds to medium cloudy at times. Isolated showers. Occasional wind gusts.

Santo Domingo East: Scattered clouds to medium cloudy at times. Isolated showers. Occasional wind gusts.

Santo Domingo Oeste: Scattered to partly cloudy at times. Isolated showers. Occasional wind gusts.

Santo Domingo North: Scattered to partly cloudy at times. Scattered showers. Occasional wind gusts.

Greater Santo Domingo: Minimum temperature between 19 °C and 21 °C and maximum between 28 °C and 30 °C.
